A slaughtering of indie noise and sweet melodies. Reminiscent of radiohead in melody and shimmering vocal delivery bashed out with more tribal beats and post rock influences.
Tomas Ford
The Horror Shop
Known for his theatrics and in your face take on punk rock. Taking the punk genre and spinning it on its head with cabaret & electronic influences and sung like a crooner.

Last week saw another devilshly good selection of bands and DJs shaking the foundations of The Horrror Shop to it’s very core.. Thanks to all who popped in and if you happened to get snapped by our resident havester of souls, Lloyd, you will most likely find your likeness in our gallery here.We are now into our third week of HS, and as they say, three is the magic number! For this weeks Horror Shop we have summoned some serious black magic, Three hauntingly wicked bands, Genghis, Burning Sensation & Will Stoker & The Embers have joined forces to align the planets and bring party to the Horror Shop. Along with these Bands we have four DJ teams creating alchemy on the dance floor, way past the witching hours.

VOLTAIRE TWINS

After being given 5 stars on Triple J by Dan Buhagiar for their Unearthed songs Volitaire Twins have been rising as one of the most dance-able and infectious Indie-Dance bands in Perth. Having supported Dukes of Windsor & Gameboy/Gamegirl with influences as cool as Ladytron, Learn The Splits & Robots In Disguise Keep your ears on the radio waves as the Voltaire Twins EP is coming sooooooon!! Booo!
Shock! Horror!
Steadily growing in reputation as one of Perths freshest & ’supa coowel’ acts to check out, Shock Horror are like a joy division meeting a less gay version of Cut Copy and with a name like Shock! Horror! we just Love! them!
Team Sport
Taking a leap out into 2008, Team Sport came from nowhere to being in your face and at every good gig in perth playing guitar thrashing and  head shaking voodoo rhythms. Come feel the noise
One of the less orthodox bands spawned by the post-Libertines London music scene, the Mystery Jets started at the end of the last century when Blaine Harrison and his dad, Henry, formed a band together. Soon joined by Blaine’s school friends Kai and Will, the band recruited drummer Kapil and started staging gigs in a crumbling hotel ballroom on Eel Pie Island.

A new scene rapidly grew up around the Eel Pie shows, giving artists like Jamie T an opportunity to play their first gigs. The final Eel Pie party was attended by over 600 people, but by then the band had signed to 679 Recordings, appearing on Top Of The Pops, releasing a handful of singles and one album, ‘Making Dens’ and spending almost two years on a tour that took in Europe, the US and Japan, including a stint on the road with Arctic Monkeys on the NME Awards Tour in 2006.

The last we heard of them was when they hosted a tribute night to their hero Syd Barrett at Islington’s Union Chapel, but for the last two they’ve been busy preparing their second album for us - “Twenty One”
